Giveaway--Meet Your New Favorite Author--Amy Bartol

Hello My Lovelies...

Sorry I've been quiet lately.  I've been busy with family, writing, and life :)

So I thought now would be a great time for me to introduce you to one of my favorite authors.  Amy Bartol has raced up the list with her Premonition Series.  I've blown through all four books that have been released and am chomping at the bit for the fifth, which I hope will release soon!

First, let me introduce the series.  I love angel books, and this has to be my favorite series about angels I've read so far.  I loved Hush Hush and Fallen was pretty good, but they have nothing on Premonition.  This series stars Evie (Genevieve), who is a fiery redhead that makes a great heroine.  I've mostly loved Evie throughout the series and have only gotten mad at her a few times.  She is faced with some crazy challenges and revelations about her origins that would throw a saint off balance.  She does a pretty good job of sorting it all out.  One of the things that both makes me love her and be annoyed by her is her deep sense of loyalty and protective nature.  She's gotten into trouble because of it, but she's also stayed true to herself throughout the series.

I'm going to give you the opportunity now to go over to Pinterest and take a gander at Amy's lovely boards for her books.  They really are inspiring and if they don't make you want to read this series, I don't know what would, lol.

Inescapable: The Premonition Series Book One

I'm not listing the others because if you haven't read this series they could contain spoilers.  The beauty of this series is how it unfolds, so I don't want to ruin it for you :)

Next, how about a trailer?

This is fan created, I think, but it's pretty good...

Interested yet?

Here's my goodreads review.

Inescapable (The Premonition, #1)Inescapable by Amy A. Bartol
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book came to me on high recommendation from my dear friend, Nancy Straight. Man am I glad I took her recommendation! All I have to say is WOWZA!

Inescapable is AMAZING. From the first pages I was hooked. I loved Evie and had to know what was going to happen to her! Holy cow, there are a lot of twists in this book and the biggest one was a complete surprise. I'm not often surprised by books, but this one had me gaping. I just didn't see the big bad coming like I should have.

I'm not giving away spoilers, so I will leave it at that, but I was totally drawn in by the characters and the story. This book elicited so many emotions from me, from laugh out loud humor to tragedy that broke my heart to heart pounding love and adrenaline filled action.

I immediately bought book two and have immersed myself in the world again. I was so glad to see the series has four books I can devour! Bring on the next!

So here is your chance.  I'm offering to gift you a digital copy of Inescapable by Amy Bartol at your favorite etailer.  There are several things you can do to enter.  Good luck and I hope you will check out more from
this amazing author.  I know I will be...

About Amy

Author of Inescapable: The Premonition Series (Volume 1), Intuition: The Premonition Series (Volume 2), Indebted: The Premonition Series (Volume 3) , and Incendiary: The Premonition Series (Volume 4). Currently working on a fifth novel in the Premonition Series entitled Iniquity.

I live in Michigan with my husband and our two sons. My family is very supportive of my writing. When I’m writing, they often bring me the take-out menu so that I can call and order them dinner. They listen patiently when I talk about my characters like they’re real. They rarely roll their eyes when I tell them I’ll only be a second while I finish writing a chapter…and then they take off their coats. They ask me how the story is going when I surface after living for hours in a world of my own making. They have learned to accept my “writing uniform” consisting of a slightly unflattering pink fleece jacket, t-shirt, and black yoga pants. And they smile at my nerdy bookishness whenever I try to explain urban fantasy to them. In short, they get me, so they are perfect and I am blessed. Cover Reveal--This I Promise You by Tressa Messenger

by Tressa Messenger

This modern day tragedy is a love story in the truest sense.

You only get one first of anything, and no matter the time, or space, or age, you never forget your first love.

When thirteen year old Nicky Moore’s parents decide to buy a small summer beach cottage at Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, she thought her life would end. It didn't matter the beauty of the area - land and water as far as the eye could see - she was bound and determined to make her family’s summer vacation as dismal as she felt. That was until she met a boy from down the beach; a beautiful boy, with the most intense brown eyes she had ever seen and a smile that could light the ocean on fire. A summer that Nicky thought was doomed from the start, turned into a summer that she would never forget; one full of firsts. It was impossible for her to know years later how one seemingly little decision could change everything forever, but soon, as an adult, Nicky will find out that everything she once thought were real and the promises once made, were lost in a sea of inner turmoil.

AVAILABLE MAY 17, 2013

The Legacy of Kilkenny--Devyn Dawson

I have a treat for you today!

The Legacy of Kilkenny is the first full length novel I wrote.  Pru and Abel, will always be my first love and my favorite werewolves.  Since The Great Wolf will be out later in 2013, and the cover is of Abel, I thought Pru deserves her own cover.  Eden Crane outdid herself!  I think the essence of Pru was captured in the cover model.  As TLOK reaches the second anniversary in June, I thought it was a good time for a facelift.

The book is FREE on Amazon.  If you have a Nook, Barnes and Noble will price-match.  Find out why The Legacy of Kilkenny consistently stays in the top 100 Free e-books in Teen Literature.  Thank you for reading my books!

XOXO
Devyn

#Indielicious Blog Hop--Dreamscape Teaser Alert!

Hi Everyone.  This week thanks to Krystal's request, I'm continuing the scene from last week.  I hope you enjoy it!

Not exactly what I expected him to say.  I stiffen.  He’s in such trouble, yet he seems to have no idea just how pissed I am.  “How the hell would I know?”
His chuckle rumbles through me.  My anxiety withers away to the point where I can actually find out what I did to provoke him.  Then I’ll sucker punch him for scaring the crap out of me.  “Why did you take after me like that?”
When I turn my neck to look at him, he steps away, releasing me.  “I have to push you.  I have to know you will be safe in the Dreamscape.”
I narrow my eyes.  He considered that training?  “You’re really starting to scare me with the mega-drama.”
He doesn’t even flinch.  “It’s not drama.  There is no way for me to train you adequately here.  I wanted—”  He shakes his head.  “—needed you to understand the danger.  If you had been in the Dreamscape and I had been Erobos, you would now be mine.”
Somehow, I believe him.  The realization snakes around my mind a while, creating more and more questions.  I finally decide on one to ask him.  “What would they want me for?”
His eyelids flutter then he stares at his shoes as if he can’t or won’t look at me.  “You are the most gifted clairvoyant I’ve ever seen.  You have not only created your own space within my realm, you have opened up places that have long been closed off.”
I can’t quite decide if he is leaving something out, or if he is afraid to lay too much on me at once.  “What aren’t you telling me?”
His lips twitch into a smirk.  “What makes you ask that question?”
“You’re evading.”
“How do you know that?”
“Body language, mostly.”
Lightning blue eyes meet mine.  I move closer to him to get a better view.  I’ve never seen such emotion in his gaze.  It scares me how much he’s showing me right now, but I can’t make myself stay put.

Be sure to stop by the other Blogs for more great teasers!

Happy Reading!

Cover Reveal--Kissing Fire by Anne Hargrove

Just look at that cover!  Can you say yum!  I'm pleased to introduce you to what promises to be an amazing read!

Kissing Fire....Description

Preston Mitchell, undercover DEA agent, has led a life of danger and obscurity. Knowing his job would never allow a normal relationship, he’s never opened himself up to any woman...that is until the lovely Avery Middleton stumbles into his life.

To the outsider, Avery has it all...wealth, family, connections and a great job. But on the inside, she’s miserable. Her social life is in the dumpster, the kooky gal next door has some zany plans for her and her selfish mother drives Avery to the point of insanity. Her only salvation is to get out of Charleston and start a new life. So that’s precisely what she does. She moves to Seattle and steps right into the path of hot and sexy, Preston.

Unfortunately for both of them, Avery ends up being in the wrong place at the wrong time and is now running for her life. But she’s not alone. She has a gorgeous DEA agent protecting her and suddenly finds herself irresistibly captivated by him. There’s only one problem. Preston carries more than his share of mental baggage, courtesy of his job. His covert missions have put him in places and situations he can barely stand to think about. Avery rocks Preston’s world because she is nothing like anyone he’s ever met and something extraordinary begins to happen between them.  But can their love survive in this world, where danger, intrigue and deception lurk on every corner?

KISSING FIRE Teaser

Boy oh boy, was Preston hot. Make that boiling. Scorching. Molten lava kind of hot. Messy dark brown, slightly wavy hair that was not long but not short either. And, oh what a mouth he had. His mouth made me want to jump on board and ride that train for life. His lips were the perfect kind of full and every so often, he’d run his tongue across them and I’d automatically squirm. His face was pure angular perfection...high cheekbones with those slight hollows beneath them, that were the perfect shape to accommodate my lips. But those eyes...my oh my. They were golden brown, like coffee with lots of cream. I could only imagine what they looked like right when he was...
Cheezits Ava, get your head out of the bedroom!
“Wouldn’t you agree Ava?” my brother was asking me.
I shook my head and swallowed. “I’m sorry, what did you say?”
“We were talking about the weather here in the summer and I was saying how much more pleasant it is than in Charleston?”
“Oh, yes it is.” Was my voice breathy sounding, or was it my imagination?
Preston was wearing jeans that rode low on his hips. They were tight and he had a superior set of buns. What would I pay to see those babies?
“Ava? What do you think?” someone asked.
“Buns!” I blurted out.
“Excuse me?” Caroline, my sister-in-law, asked.
Holy Toledo, did I just say buns out loud? What the hell Ava!!!
“Fun! Anything sounds fun!” I quickly said.
“Ava, you look a little flushed. Are you sure you’re feeling okay?”
“Hot! I mean no, I’m fine.” I looked across the room and my face totally flamed. Everyone was staring at me. I had unbuttoned my blouse and was fanning myself. I’d noticed that Preston had a gloriously hot tattoo of a sideways cross on his arm. I think I needed to go home.
“So Avery, where are you staying?” Caroline asked.
“Oh, I’m at the Four Sexy. Seasons! I mean the Four Seasons.”
Oh dear God, I need to get my act together here.

#Indielicious Blog Hop--Dreamscape Teaser Alert!

It's amazing how quickly Sundays roll around.  I'm pleased to share another teaser from Dreamscape with you.  Make sure you drop by all the other blogs participating in the hop for more tempting teasers...this time I've given you a little more action :)

He dips his chin and comes at me again, giving a grunt as he rushes forward.  He’s totally not fooling.  Adrenaline jolts through me, and I sprint away.  I leap over the weights strewn across the floor and dodge the punching bags.  Once I’m past the blue mat, my feet do a better job of propelling me forward.
His presence stalks me as I race through the hall toward anywhere but here.  When I realize I’m heading for the library, I groan.  I really need to pay more attention to where I’m going.  There is no way out of that place but through the front door, and there is no freaking way I’m letting him corner me in his crimson den of pleasure.
Seeing no other option I dart down a hall I’ve never seen.  It’s dark and eerie, as if no one has been here since the place was made.  A thin light ahead gives me some hope.
I listen for any sign of Seth pursuing me but the only sound that registers is my rapid breath.  My pulse thumps in my throat as my mind frantically searches for an escape.
The dust covering the cool floor makes the experience ten times worse.  Why exactly did I take off my shoes?
Only someone completely comfortable in the presence of someone else should ever remove footwear.  I never expected Seth to wig out like this.  It’s like he’s Hyde or something.  He really could be this close to losing it and I wouldn’t know.
What I remember about Jason does not apply in this place.  Seth has the attributes I loved so much in Jason, but he’s also got some major issues Jason never exhibited.
Why is it that the first time I attract a guy he’s a total nutter?  I just don’t know what to think anymore.  I need somewhere to hide, so I twist at the last second into a dark room off the hallway.  I’m hoping for a side door or a convenient little rabbit hole.  It wouldn’t matter if it was a doggie door, I’d take anything about now.
The rational part of my brain tells me I’m overreacting.  Seth has never really hurt me…well, he almost fried me with that wicked fire wall of his right after he brought me here, but—
I don’t have time for another thought.
My arm hairs stand straight on end while this electric chill sizzles through my veins.  I freeze where I am, listening for any hint of his pursuit.  My breath stills to a low rustle.  Nothing seems out of place, yet everything in me screams run.
When I whirl away from the doorway another doorway appears in front of me.  I rush forward, not caring where this thing leads.  I only allow myself a second to wonder if somehow I created this escape route like I did the addition to the garden.
My next thought makes me stumble then trip.  What if I could create a door out of here?  I tried before, but it seems this place likes me more now.  I throw my arms in front of me to protect myself, but I’m plucked from my fall by a pair of strong arms.
Seth pulls me tight against his chest and for the briefest of moments I think he’s going to snap my neck…or sink his teeth into me.
Instead, he rests his face against the back of my shoulder, panting in huge breaths.  His skin is slick with sweat, as is mine.  Neither of us speaks for a really long time.
He finally breaks the silence with a labored sigh.  “How did you get in here?”
